DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce our event taking place on 9th October at Adastral Park\, Ipswich in collaboration with CyNam and BT. \nMembers and non-members of Cyber East are invited to attend this event\, as we collaborate and share ideas to help ensure businesses in the area have the opportunity to thrive and grow in a secure and safe way. \nOur event is titled ‘What Geopolitics Might Do To You… But Also What You Might Do for Geopolitics’ exploring current and emerging cyber trends and how these relate to SME’s\, what we all need to plan for and what this all means from a skills perspective \nWe have 3 great speakers\, Melanie Garson of University College London\, Bryan Littlefair\, Cambridge Cyber Advisors and a representative from BT. \nWe also have an interactive QA panel\, refreshments and there will be plenty of opportunity to network. \nA seat charge of £10 is payable to attend the event. All the proceeds of ticket sales will be split 50/50 between a raffle prize on the afternoon of the event and a donation to Teen Tech. TeenTech help young people (8-18yrs) understand the opportunities science\, technology\, creative and digital media\, and engineering\, no matter what their gender or social background. \nStudents can attend for FREE\, please email info@cybereast.co.uk with proof of your student card. \nAdvance booking recommended as places will be limited.

DESCRIPTION:Join OxCyber for an evening of networking\, real conversations\, and cyber community spirit! \nCalling all cybersecurity professionals\, tech enthusiasts\, founders\, students\, and curious minds. \nOxCyber has reserved a cosy spot at The Marsh Harrier on Marsh Road (OX4 2HH)\, just off Cowley Road. \nOn-site parking available as you enter Marsh Road \nThe Number 5 bus connects directly from Oxford Rail Station \nThere’s no agenda and no registration required just drop in\, say hello\, and enjoy some great chat with great people. \nNo slides. Just genuine connection. \nDirections to The Marsh Harrier: \nBy Car: \nFrom Oxford City Centre\, the journey takes around 12–24 minutes depending on traffic. Take Abingdon Road (A4144)\, then continue along the B4495 and A4158. Once on Cowley Road\, turn right onto Marsh Road and you’ll find The Marsh Harrier at number 40. There’s a free car park available just as you enter Marsh Road from Cowley Road. \nBy Bus: \nFrom the city centre\, head to St Aldates (Stop G4) and catch the Number 10 bus heading towards Cowley & JR Hospital. The journey takes approximately 14 minutes\, with Marsh Road as your stop. From there\, it’s a short 3-minute walk (about 0.2 miles) to The Marsh Harrier. Buses run regularly\, making this an easy and eco-friendly option. \nBy Bicycle: \nCycling from the City Centre takes around 15–20 minutes. Head east along High Street (A420)\, continue through The Plain\, then follow Cowley Road (B480). Turn left onto Bartlemas Close and join National Cycle Route 57 via Barracks Lane. Continue until you reach Marsh Road\, where The Marsh Harrier is located on the left-hand side.
