SUMMARY:CyberNorth | Schools North East Summit 2023
DESCRIPTION:Schools North East Summit 2023\nThursday 19 October | 08:45 – 16:00 BST \nSt James’ Park\, Newcastle Upon Tyne \nWhy Attend?\nCyberNorth can’t wait for you to join them for the annual leadership summit 2023 at St James’ Park for the ‘must attend’ leadership event in the North East. \nSince the publication of our ‘Manifesto for NE Education’ prior to the 2019 General Election\, schools nationwide have faced unprecedented disruption\, with huge changes in the educational landscape. All schools in the North East are ‘Great’\, but that is often despite policy\, not because of it. Our schools are ‘Great’ because of their staff\, their willingness to go ‘above and beyond’\, and despite the constraints of a system that isn’t able to fully support them to realise their potential. \nAs we enter the run up to another General Election\, this year’s summit will look at what are the policies and actions required to ensure that all of our schools can be ‘Great North Schools’ in a system that is worthy of them. How do we make the whole system ‘Great’? We will revisit the key recommendations and strands of our manifesto\, in light of the challenges of the last 4 years\, to amplify the voices that were the ‘fourth emergency service’ during the pandemic; our vital national strategic infrastructure that continues to support students and communities where other services often cannot.

The COVID-19 pandemic has shifted beliefs\, working practices and previously accepted norms. Some organisations have moved away from their core business and found strengths – and sales – in multiple and/or different sectors. \nWe understand that organisations are busy\, but also eager to learn. We also understand that whilst companies grow and develop\, taking time to develop policies\, content or understand nuances of specific content can take time. \nWith that in mind\, our ‘lunch and learn’ series is designed to cover a range of core business subjects and to provide guidance and support on core business topics such as HR\, finance and legal. \nThe sessions will predominantly be delivered by SME members\, for the benefit of our SME members. The presentations will be delivered by experts within the specific field.
