DESCRIPTION:Sharpen your skills\, win prizes\, and showcase your team’s security skills in one of the Cluster’s renowned ethical hacking events of the year. \nJoin the SCSC for a unique cybersecurity experience at the Capture the Flag (CTF) competition hosted by the Cluster and facilitated by Andy Snowball\, Head of Incident Response at BAE Systems. \nStep into the shoes of a skilled ethical hacker and put your cybersecurity skills to the test in this exciting and educational event.  This is for cybersecurity professionals and new entrants into the cyber field. CTF competitions are a fantastic opportunity to sharpen your skills and showcase talent. Work individually or team up with like-minded enthusiasts and dive into a series of challenging scenarios\, designed to simulate real-world hacking situations. \nIn 2024 SCSC Capture The Flag competition’s winners were: \n Tom C. won first prize for his amazing performance.\n Leonardo Forchini and RHUL Team 2 (Royal Holloway Cybersecurity Society) won second and third place respectively. \nExplore the Exciting World of Cyber Security \nThe CTF event provides a safe and controlled environment to explore the world of cyber security. Interact with fellow participants\, exchange knowledge\, and learn from industry experts who will be present to offer guidance and support. \nBy participating in the CTF competition\, you’ll gain invaluable hands-on experience\, enhance your technical proficiency\, and boost your credentials in the cyber security field. Additionally\, the event offers a unique networking opportunity\, allowing you to connect with professionals and potential employers in the industry. \nSecure your spot today and embark on a fun journey into the world of ethical hacking. \nA Hybrid Experience to test your skills \nJoin the SCSC’s third capture the flag competition on 29th October from 6pm at the Login Lounge\, Camberley. \nThe CTF events also serve as a vibrant networking platform\, enabling you to connect with fellow cyber security professionals. This opens up avenues for career opportunities and collaborative projects\, enhancing your professional journey. \nThe competition will run from 6pm BST on Wednesday 29th October to midnight on Sunday 2nd November.
