SUMMARY:CyberNorth: Mind the hype: Navigating AI Webinar
DESCRIPTION:In this webinar\, Waterstons will take a grounded look at the current state of AI—exploring where it delivers value\, where it falls short\, and the practical steps organisations can take now. \nSuccess with AI isn’t just about technology. It relies on three key foundations: having strong\, reliable data; drawing on the expertise of your people\, who understand your business best; and putting robust governance in place to build trust and manage risk. \nCrucially\, it’s not just an IT issue—it’s a strategic topic that needs leadership focus. \nWhether you’re cautiously curious or already experimenting with AI\, this session will help you ask the right questions\, get the right people involved\, avoid common mistakes\, and make informed decisions about where AI can add real value for your organisation. \nThis webinar is aimed at IT leaders.

SUMMARY:Hampshire and Sussex Cyber Cluster - Cyber Den
DESCRIPTION:Join Hampshire and Sussex Cyber Cluster at Cyber Den – as part of UKC3\, the new platform for cyber innovation in Hampshire & Sussex. \nCyber Den is an exciting pilot event series designed to spark collaboration and growth across the South East’s cyber ecosystem. Bringing together start-ups\, SMEs\, universities\, corporates\, public sector partners\, and expert panellists\, the event will showcase cutting-edge solutions to today’s most pressing cyber challenges. \nBlending the buzz of a Dragons’ Den– style pitch with meaningful opportunities for dialogue\, Cyber Den gives early-stage businesses the chance to share ideas with sector leaders and practitioners. The format is designed to open conversations\, encourage mentorship\, and highlight innovation that strengthens supply chains and regional resilience. \nParticipants (SMEs or start-ups) will be asked to prepare a short 10-minute pitch to present to our panel of experts. The pitch can focus on an upcoming project where you would value advice and feedback from our range of panellists\, or pitch a new idea/project with potential for investment and collaboration. Most importantly\, Cyber Den is a fantastic networking opportunity — a chance to connect with other SMEs in the region\, share experiences\, and spark partnerships that could lead to future growth. \nBut Cyber Den is more than a pitch event – it’s about building community. Networking and collaboration sessions will connect innovators\, anchor organisations\, and academia\, creating partnerships that last well beyond the pilot and laying the foundations for a more secure digital future. \nRegister Here

SUMMARY:ScotlandIS - Cyber Resilience: The Performance Impact of Stress in Cybersecurity
DESCRIPTION:Annabel Berry from Leading Cyber will discuss why managing mental wellbeing is fundamental to our overall cyber resilience. \nAs cybersecurity professionals\, we operate in a high-stakes environment where evolving threats and the responsibility of protecting critical systems demand constant vigilance. This relentless pressure\, coupled with the weight of potential consequences\, significantly erodes performance and compromises cyber resilience. \nThe 24/7 nature of our work\, driven by the fear of missing a critical threat or experiencing a major breach\, creates an overwhelming workload. This sustained stress directly impacts cognitive function\, which can lead to critical errors in judgment\, missed security indicators\, and an ongoing struggle to maintain focus and vigilance. Ultimately\, this diminishes individual and team effectiveness\, making us more vulnerable to cyberattacks. \nThis workshop will address these critical challenges\, emphasising why managing mental wellbeing is fundamental to our overall cyber resilience — at individual\, team\, and organisational levels. \nEvent Objectives: \n• Raise Awareness: Highlight the scale of mental health challenges in the industry and the psychosocial hazards which commonly cause stress at work. \n• Promote Self-Care: Equip participants with practical self-care strategies to enhance individual mental well-being and\, by extension\, performance. \n• Foster Team Support: Provide leaders with strategies to support team well?being\, strengthening collective resilience. \n• Reduce Stigma: Foster safe spaces for open discussion on mental health to reduce the stigma surrounding seeking help. \n• Industry Focus: Update on the work of the Mental Health in Cyber Security Foundation (MHinCS Foundation) and its Charter. \nRegister Here
