SUMMARY:Digital Mental Health – Thinking about Cyber Health & Safety || YCSC
DESCRIPTION:If you haven’t noticed\, we are all working longer hours\, and in those hours\, spending more time online.\nWe check emails from the minute we wake to the time we go to bed\, so how are we maintaining good practices to reduce risk of burnout\, stress and falling victim to phishing attacks? In a world that is increasingly remote\, how do we maintain good communications with our teams and business? How do we ensure a distracted workforce does not become a point of attack?! \nOur webinar this month will explore the risks associated with remote/hybrid working and why a stressed\, fatigued workforce is the biggest risk we face today. We’ll explore strategies and ideas to combat these risks and create happier\, healthier and more secure organisatons. \nWho is Yorkshire Cyber Security Cluster (YCSC)?\nThe YCSC is a professional network of cyber security practitioners and those with an interest in the industry\, created as part of the UK Cyber Security Forum to help cyber security experts and organisations across the region to collaborate and build a stronger standard of cyber security as part of a knowledge exchange collective. \nThe cluster’s role is to support\, inspire\, and work collaboratively with cyber security professionals to strengthen the regional cyber security ecosystem. \n1. Achieve sustainable funding \n2 . Develop a strong committed community membership \n3 . Support local economy \n4. Establish as an authentic leader in the cyber security industry \n5. SUMMARY:Surrey Cyber Security Cluster's Blue Team Event: ' Have you been breached?'
DESCRIPTION:Bringing together Surrey’s Cyber Security community.\nWe invite you to participate in SCSC’s Blue Team activities that will focus on cybers security’s “defence” techniques. We will offer a variety of events including presentations\, live demonstrations and Panel Q&As with market-leading vendors and industry experts. They will share groundbreaking knowledge and expertise on the latest tools and techniques to proactively detect\, prevent\, and respond to cyber threats.\nKeynote Presentation: ‘Have you been breached?’\nPresented by Akamai Technologies\nSCSC members are invited to a vendor presentation from Akamai Technologies who will be talking us through their latest solution including a live demo and Q&A. \nFallen victim to a data breach yet? If not\, your organisation is one of the lucky ones – for now. Cyber attackers are using ever more sophisticated attempts to execute attacks on a daily basis. Realistically\, it’s unlikely that an organisation can swerve an attack without robust cyber security measures already in place to prevent\, detect and mitigate cyber threats. Hear from Akamai’s Solutions Engineer\, Paul Flack to learn more about preventing malicious lateral movements in your network with unparalleled visibility and control. \nLive Demonstration\nPresented by Horizon3.ai\nWe will show how easy it is\, even for an IT user without any pen testing background\, to configure a pen test and afterwards interpret the results contained in the reports. We will walk through the entire process of setting up the test and show several examples in the report on how we show different kinds if findings. We will explain the fundamental differences between “traditional” approaches compared to our autonomous pen testing and why we believe this to be vastly superior. We will demonstrate how to easily adopt a “find\, fix and verify” methodology” to vastly increase a customer’s IT security stance while still helping customers to save a tremendous amount of time compared to traditional approaches. \nAGENDA\n18.00 – Arrive for networking\, drinks\, and canapés\n18.30 – Learn more about SCSC and our 2023 plans from our host\, Steve Coburn (Director\, Surrey Cyber Security Cluster)\n18.45 – Our Cyber activity of the evening\, a live demo takes place. This will be led by (Horizon3.ai) followed by Q&A\n19.30 – Keynote address from Paul Flack followed by Q&A (Solutions Engineer at Akamai Technologies)\n20.15 – Networking opportunities\n21.00 – Close
