John Davies
John Davies received an MBE for “Services to the UK Cyber Ecosystem”.
During 35 years in information security, those services include being the Co-Founder Cyber Wales, a founding Board Member and Vice Chair for UKC3, an NCSC i100 Secondee and CyberFirst Ambassador and a sessional lecturer at numerous universities. John is the UK’s Representative for ECSO and a Founding Member of GlobalEPIC. For his day job, John is Co-founder and CEO of a successful cyber security firm whose products are used by Government, Police and the MoD.
John served 6 years in the British Army from 1983 and continues serving today as Honorary Colonel of a Royal Signals unit and the Chair of the Regional Employer Engagement Group for the Armed Forces in Wales. John is a Fellow of CIISec, has a Master’s in Cyber and is a Certified Ethical Hacker.
