Businesses are increasingly aware of their need to have a role as constructive societal supporters, especially if bidding for government contracts that require evidence of their ESG credentials. Their cyber posture is critical to projecting and sustaining that societal value and is increasingly a valuable part of their brand. This event will provide a platform to understand how to implement and project those values.
Building upon our 2024 event “ESG thru a Cyber Lens” which attracted nearly 500 in-person and online attendees, this year’s event focusses on the S in ESG, Social; The link between Society and Cyber Security.
As touched on in last year’s event, Cyber has become ‘other’, something most people don’t understand, yet it is integral to the stability of society and businesses in society as we increasingly become a digital first nation. This event will bridge that gap, making the role of cyber in society understandable, whilst championing those that connect cyber and society together, whether through cyber technology or cyber related positive action.
The event is presented in 3 sessions:
Keynoting the event will be the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology, who will lay out how regulation supports businesses to develop good cyber governance. OFCOM will talk about the role of enforcement in the context of regulation like the Online Safety Act, an increasingly hot topic as the UK leads the world in seeking to guide social platforms towards good societal practise.
