UKC3, the UK’s Cyber Cluster Collaboration, is a central hub connecting and empowering regional cyber clusters across the nation.
We support their mission to foster a thriving cyber security ecosystem by:
Facilitating collaboration: We create opportunities for effective partnerships among clusters, maximizing their collective impact.
Sharing knowledge and best practices: We connect clusters, enabling them to learn from each other and exchange valuable insights.
Identifying emerging needs and opportunities: We stay informed about industry trends and share them with clusters, helping them to adapt and grow.
Nurturing new and existing clusters: We provide guidance and resources to strengthen existing clusters and help new ones develop.
Investing in key projects: We offer seed funding and investment to support impactful initiatives within the cyber community.
As a national, non-profit organisation, UKC3 offers a single point of access to the valuable work of cyber clusters. We connect interested individuals and organisations with the right clusters, fostering collaboration and growth across the entire UK cyber security landscape.
Our focus is on maximizing the impact of our investments to ensure a thriving and innovative cyber industry for the future.
The UK Ecosystem
The UK Cyber landscape boasts a vibrant network of regional cyber security clusters, each focused on fostering innovation, collaboration and growth within the cyber security sector.
Their role is to serve, support and enable the cyber security organisations and professionals within our regions.
Deeply rooted in regional needs, our network stands as a vital resource for cyber security organisations and professionals.
Our focus aligns precisely with the profession’s challenges, tackling them head-on in three key areas:
Ecosystem Development
Cyber Skills Growth
Innovation Connection
Based on the UK Cyber Security Sectorial Analysis 2023 published by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, the UK’s cyber security sector is currently valued at approximately £10.5 billion, a 3% increase from last year’s study which suggested a slower growth rate.
There are nearly 2,000 companies in the UK offering cyber security products and services, supporting over 58,000 employees. This marks an increase of more than 5,000 jobs in the past year alone.
Why UKC3?
“We are a non-profit community – our sole purpose is to support, connect and empower our cyber communities across the UK.
From bustling cities to quiet villages, every corner of the UK holds a story. We listen to those stories and translate them into action.
We recognise that one size doesn’t fit all – that’s why we tailor our activities and initiatives to the specific challenges and opportunities of each place we call home.”
