From Digital to Quantum: Skills for the Next Era of Cyber Security

Wednesday, November 13th  | 3 – 6 pm

As we enter a new era of technology, the shift from digital to quantum is set to redefine industries across the globe. Join us for an insightful session, where we’ll explore how quantum computing is reshaping sectors such as finance, healthcare, and supply chain optimization. This isn’t just about staying competitive – it’s about preparing for the future.

Hosted by Yorkshire Cyber Security Cluster (YCSC) in collaboration with BCS and The University of York, this event will explore the critical shift from digital to quantum technologies and what this means for cyber security. Industry leaders Dr. Meera Sarma and Dr. Thomas Matheus from Cystel, experts in the quantum cyber security field, will share insights into the practical skills needed for the quantum era, including conducting quantum readiness assessments, cryptographic agility, and proactive monitoring of quantum threats.

In addition to the keynote presentations, Dan Toms, Chair at BCS West Yorkshire Branch, will introduce BCS and discuss the organisation’s pivotal role in supporting cyber security professionals through education, standards, and community-building.

This event is ideal for cyber security professionals, tech innovators, and business leaders eager to understand how quantum advancements will shape the future. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies to position their organisations for resilience in the face of emerging quantum technologies.
